Do you exhibit anywhere else?
We display our range at most Victorian Caravan Industry run expos. For upcoming events, check out our social media, or give us a call.
Do you make a Queen Bed version?
With the size of our vans, a 5ft wide bed is not possible so we stay with the 4’6” Double Bed.
Do you have an "off-road" version with more ground clearance?
Both Freedom plus and the Karavane’ have the ALKO Enduro X Off-Road Trailing Arm Suspension which also gives the addition ground clearance Travellers are often looking for.
Can my vehicle tow a Centaur Caravan?
The Karakampa Series II comes in at around 1350kgs tare with a 1700kg GTM.
The Freedom Plus is generally around 1500kg tare with a 2100kg ATM.
Karavane’ tare comes in around the 1700kg tare with the ATM at 2300kg making it towable by most mid-size to large vehicles. Please check your vehicles manual or consult with your Dealership for towing capacity.
What is the ball weight of a Centaur Caravan?
The average ball weight of the is around 120kgs. We have manufactured Caravans with ball weights from 100-140 kgs. Ball weights are checked for each individual caravan we manufacture. Please check your vehicles manual or consult with your Dealership for Ball Weight capacity.
What warranty do you offer on the vans?
We offer a 3 Year Warranty on the Chassis, Body, and Cabinetry. All ancillaries fitted to the van come with their own Manufacturer’s Warranty.
How much deposit is required when placing an order?
We require a 10% Deposit to secure a place in our build schedule with the balance to be paid on delivery.
What options are available?
We have a list of options available for each model, our sales team will be able to help you further when making choices. You should note that most options increase tare weight.
Can a washing machine be fitted?
Yes, some Karavane’ models can have front load washing machines fitted. Please check with your consultant.
How do you go fitting the rear awning set up in caravan park sites?
When you look at the length of the van with the rear awning extended it is no different to having a 21’4″ van. Many customers also opt for the side awning option as well.
Do you have solar available?
Freedom Plus models can have up to 300W roof mounted and the Karavane models up to 360W. Also you can have an Anderson plug on the side of your van fitted for portable solar panels to be used.
Are there choices available for the roof lining material?
Yes, we use a marine grade material that is available in 5 different colors. The material serves several purposes. Stops condensation forming when in high humidity situations, helps to soundproof the body and also hides the raw fibreglass finish.
Are there many choices available in the upholstery for the seats?
Yes, we have our high-quality vinyl upholstery that comes in 3 standard colours. We also have an optional upgrade to a microfibre product available that also looks like leather and has a much larger colour range. The Microfibre range is standard in the Karavane’ models.
Are there colour choices in the bench and tabletops?
Yes, currently we have 3 colours to choose from. With the bench and cupboards being made from the same strong composite materials the number of colours is limited. Other options are being considered so please ask your consultant what is available.
Can bike racks be fitted?
Yes, we can fit a bike rack on the front “A” frame by what is called under slinging the spare wheel under the caravan like what is done with the spare tyre on a Utility, SUV or some wagons. This gives approximately a 400mm space on the A frame for a Bike Rack to be installed.
Can a larger fridge be fitted?
The Series II and the Freedom Plus can only have an under-bench 135lt compressor fridge. The Karavané has a 2 door 190lt compressor Fridge/Freezer fitted as standard.
Is there any protection offered from stone chips to the front of the van?
Yes, a vinyl protector is fitted standard to the van which helps with both reducing chips on the van and stones that can bounce back and smash the rear window in your vehicle.
Do you make a 4-berth version?
The Karavane’ now has a bunk version available (4 Berth). The Series II and the Freedom Plus cannot have internal bunks due to their size. Please discuss with your consultant if you would like to know the options available regarding bunks.
Are you considering a tandem axle?
Not at the moment, as the current size and weight of our van’s do not require a tandem.
Can an oven be fitted?
All models come standard with a 3-burner gas cooktop, but a conventional Oven is not an option. Many customers have the external gas point fitted and use a hooded BBQ. Some customers have purchased Convection Microwaves (Please check dimensions before purchasing. Depth can be an issue).
